In the heart of Trentino is Val di Rabbi, a place of beautiful landscapes and strong local traditions.
To find out a little more about the history and the customs of the place, during our first visit #albeinmalga, we went to Mulino Ruatti: an ancient watermill used to grind grain.
The guided tour led us through the various rooms that make up the mill; it was really fascinating to see the machinery in operation.

As we move into the mill we are really immersed in the life of the miller. In addition to the room where the grains were processed, it is also possible to see the house where the miller lived with his family.
Clothes, pots and other items of daily use are still there and it slmost seems like the mille is still inhabited.

A great base for those staying in Val di Rabbi is the Grand Hotel Rabbi, in Fonti Rabbi area.
The hotel is located by the Rabbies stream and it is just a few steps away from the historic health spa, Terme di Rabbi.
After a busy day exploring the nearby Stelvio National Park, relaxing spa treatment and good food are exactly what we needed!
